Shannon G. Reid L’20 has been awarded a 2017 Diversity Scholarship from the Cincinnati law firm Frost Brown Todd. The scholarship supports diverse students in their education and exploration of law.
“I am incredibly appreciative and honored to have received the 2017 Frost Brown Todd Diversity Scholarship,” said Reid. “I am looking forward to using the funds to advance my legal education at Penn Law.”
Reid graduated from the University of Cincinnati, summa cum laude, in 2017 and served as a summer intern for the Honorable Susan J. Dlott at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She also worked as a student coordinator for the Summer Work Experience in Law (SWEL) program, where she supervised more than 20 legal interns. She is also the founding director and an honorary member of The BIG RED and Black Mentorship Program (BRB), which promotes college readiness and career success among students at Hughes STEM High School in Cincinnati.
